Davis, a senior fellow at Defense Priorities are of an opinion ( are of an opinion (are of an opinion ) that Kyiv under no circumstances wins the war against Russia, at the moment. They point out the need in changing U.S. policy, guided by U.S. interests, to reflect this reality.

The U.S. national interest, as they state, is to prevent the war from escalating in Ukraine or expanding beyond it, while weapons from Washington and other aid are underwriting Ukraine’s war effort. “Avoiding the risk of direct U.S.-Russian or NATO-Russian confrontation is vital because of the dire global consequences of a nuclear war,” the U.S. officials add.
